| Annotation |
The book aims to help understand the topic of Peace Building as a systematic process of self-education for society as a whole, i.e. "Learning peace while creating preace". Learning peace forms parts of a sustainable peace strategy, as peace forces in the society, including politicians and civil society, reinforce each other to create a Culture of Peace that triggers a learning process directed towards a mutually beneficial societal transformation. This is illustrated by examples drawn from the experience in the historically conflict-laden Alps-Adriatic Region, the triangle between Italy, Slovenia, and Austria. |
