Summary

In this book Mahmood Monshipouri assesses the role of emotion, solidarity and online activism in the Arab Spring, issues which have been largely absent in mainstream coverage of the events. He argues that whilst modern technologies and social media may have brought new politics to the streets, practical organisation on the ground remains crucial when it comes to shaping a country's political future.
